What is Astro?

Astro is a web framework for content-driven websites: server-first rendering, zero JavaScript by default and an Islands architecture — pages are static, and React/Vue/Svelte islands mount only where interaction is needed. Content collections, file-based routing, view transitions, image optimization and type-safe Actions are all built in, with adapters for every major deployment platform. MIT licensed.
