What is Bootstrap?

Bootstrap is the most widely used HTML/CSS/JS front-end framework, now evolved into a framework-agnostic design toolkit. v6 (Alpha, October 2026) brings CSS-variable theming (CSS-first), new components and refreshed visuals, stronger JS plugins, plus llms.txt and skill docs so AI coding assistants can code against the official documentation directly. Components, an icon library, examples and build guides (Webpack/Vite/Parcel) are all there. MIT licensed.
